Barry Quinn

I’m an illustrator and multi-disciplinary artist from Ireland, I work out of a home studio in Monaghan, Ireland. I work primarily in watercolour and pencil, in the form of character-driven, narrative illustrations and sequential art. My work often seeks to explore themes of identity, gender, environmentalism and social politics. I’ve been involved in the Dublin DIY/self-publishing scene since 2009 and have produced a number of my own books, zines and albums. I have been performing and producing music for over a decade and have been heavily involved with the art and music scene in Monaghan/Dublin.

Influences would include Alice Maher, Amy Cutler, Katie Greene, Alison Bechdel, Alan Clarke, the films of Hayao Miyazaki and the music of Joanna Newsom.
